BREAKING: Burnley Reach Agreement With Chelsea To Sign Lesley Ugochukwu

In a significant move this summer transfer window, Burnley have reached a full agreement with Chelsea to sign highly-rated French midfielder, Lesley Ugochukwu, on a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2023 for a reported £23 million, is now set to continue his Premier League journey at Turf Moor. Ugochukwu is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before finalizing personal terms and signing a multi-year contract with the Clarets.

The young central midfielder spent last season on loan at Southampton, gaining valuable experience and showcasing his potential. Known for his physical presence and ability to break up play, Ugochukwu is seen as a key addition to Burnley's midfield under manager Scott Parker.

This marks Burnley’s third signing from Chelsea this summer, following the arrivals of defender Bashir Humphreys and striker Armando Broja (pending confirmation). The club appears to be making strategic moves to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Chelsea, on the other hand, continue their summer clear-out as they reshape their squad and balance the books following multiple high-profile signings in recent years.

The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but reports suggest Chelsea are looking to recoup a significant portion of their original investment.

Stay tuned for official confirmation once the medical is completed and the deal is signed.
